Agreement No. CE10/2019(CE) Proposed Improvement to / Reconstruction of Cheung Chau Ferry Pier – Feasibility Study

The Study is required to determine the most feasible option of the improvement to the Pier. One option is to expand the Pier. However, there will be limitations in expanding the existing aging Pier with on-going ferry service to continue to operate at it throughout the suggested Project, having regard to the space and areas around the Pier. The assessments and studies under the Study shall examine the most suitable approach such as, but not limited to, providing a temporary pier to relocate the ferry service during the pier expansion.

Submarine Cable Installation - MTIA Support

MPS has been commissioned to carry out a Marine Traffic Impact Assessment (MTIA) to identify potential marine traffic impacts arising from the submarine cable installation, in particular to identify any adverse impacts brought by the cable alignment and potential hazards due to the construction works based on a typical cable installation method. Mitigation measures will be recommended to ensure no insurmountable marine impacts are posed by the project.
